Samunnati gets Vinod Panicker as group CFO

Indian agri enterprise, Samunnati, an open agri network to make markets work for the smallholder farmers, has roped in Vinod Panicker to play group chief financial officer.

Backed by three decades of experience, Panicker moves from IndoStar Capital Finance after a tenure that lasted almost three years

Vinod Panicker began his career as general manager-finance, Cadbury Schweppes Bottling Group, in February 1995. After spending over six years with the firm, he moved to Mediaturf Worldwide, as chief financial officer (CFO), based out of Mumbai.

May of 2004 saw him relocating to Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala as executive vice president, finance, Asianet Satellite Communications. Six years later, he joined Outlook Publishing, as chief financial officer, in June of 2010. This role had him working out of New Delhi for over three and a half years.

In December of 2013, he was back in Kerala, working as chief financial officer, Muthoot Capital Services. Based out of Ernakulam, he served the company for over nine years.

It was in December of 2022 that he moved to Mumbai and began his association with IndoStar Capital Finance, as CFO.

An alumnus of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, Vinod Panicker comes with 35+ years of post-qualification experience across various sectors. During his career, he has handled fund raises (both debt and equity), managed regulatory compliances, maintained investor relations, looked after financials and ensured transparent reporting to all stakeholders.

In his latest assignment at Samunnati, Vinod Panicker will lead the company’s financial strategy, further strengthen its foundation as it scales its mission to transform the agri value chain and make markets work for smallholder farmers.
