Hariyali FPO is a Chattisgarh based Farmer Producer Organization serving farming requirements of >500 small land holding farmers and promoted by NABARD. The FPO in collaboration with eFresh & Samunnati, established Farmer Development Centre (FDC) to avail Agri inputs directly from manufacturers. Accordingly, the FPO was linked to Varuna Company to supply irrigation pumps worth of Rs 18 lakhs. Because of direct (market) linkage, FPO could able to save Rs 1.1 lakhs and get quality products. Besides, FDC model is enabling FPOs to take up output linkages directly with corporate buyers/processers and advisory services from knowledge centres.
